Bathroom Behavior

We’ve had a growing problem the past week with bathroom behavior. I have multiple students sneaking out of class to play in the bathroom/hall/etc. This results in quite a bit of class time missed and many disruptions. Due to this behavior, for the time being, I have implemented bathroom passes where students may choose one time to leave to use the restroom during the day, as well as at lunch and recess times. It worked great this afternoon and I hope to see disruptions and inappropriate behavior continue to decrease. If you will please remind your students of appropriate bathroom behavior at school I would appreciate it. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.  Thank you for your support.

Literacy Night

Our school will be holding a literacy night for students and their families on March 21^st from 6:00pm-7:30 pm. Look for a note being sent home later this week with more information. Hope to see you there!

Weekly Skills

Thank you all for coming to Parent Teacher Conferences. It was great to meet with all of you! Below are the skills that we will be covering for the next 5 days with our new story. We will start this next story, along with these skills, tomorrow. Please use this as a discussion point for what your child is doing in class. Unit 4, Week 3, “A Trip to Washington, D. C.”

Below are the skills and vocabulary we will be working on for the next 5 days.  (*Please note: our literacy lessons are based on 5-day plans that may or may not align with a M-F schedule.)  You can support your child’s literacy skills by reviewing, discussing, and practicing the skills and concepts below:

Just a few quick reminders:

This week is parent teacher conferences. I sent home a reminder note for everyone, I look forward to meeting with each other you!

Because of parent teacher conferences there is no school on Friday March 8.
